Visiting Cousins

We have had a lot of visitors this summer and we have been having fun! Here are some shots of the cousins in town with us.

Jac saw the state of Illinois in his scrambled eggs this morning. Then he ate it....

Kid Co-op

This summer my neighbors and I have had some playdates where the moms get to go run errands and all of the kids stay and play. We have 4 four year olds and 2 two year olds - which can get hairy, but so far so good. They are all really good kids and get along well. They will probably ride the bus together when they go to kindergarten.

Stealing Bases

Mia cracked us up when we were camping. She noticed how much two of her cousins had gotten into a one on one game of wiffle ball. One of the boys is 5 and the other is 8. They would bat and then basically try and run the bases and run home before the pitcher could field the ball and get home also to tag out. Well, Mia decided to move home base. She definitely has a sense of humor.

She did that a couple of times and watched as the boys would have to veer at the very end to tag up on home. I am not sure she actually cracked a smile until she was able to hide home base from them. They both came running toward where it was supposed to be, but it was missing. She had put it under a picnic table.

How will she use her mischieviousness in the future? We can only wait and see.
