Let is Snow!

YEAH! We finally got snow. About 5 or 6 inches of the white stuff fell overnight and it is so pretty. The kids were very excited. Yesterday we played in the first inch or two, shoveling and making tracks. Today more shoveling, of the driveway. Jac said, 'it snowed a lot, but when?' It is tricky that overnight snow when you go to sleep and the world looks one way, but you wake up and it is transformed.

Last night was the third night that Jac slept through (and received his third quarter this morning) and the second night that Mia slept through. Although there was one dispute in the middle of the night that Jeff had to resolve. Evidently the pink blankie had gone missing and was stolen by a little boy who will go unnamed. Regardless, mommy is flying high on two wonderfully peaceful night's of sleep.

It worked!

Both of my beautiful children slept through the night last night and they both earned a quarter! I was woken up this morning by a lovely snow plow crashing through the neighborhood at 6am. But I was so happy that I hadn't heard one 'mommy' in the middle of thie night that I didn't care. I had a complete 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, wow!

Mia's Class

Mia and I attended an art class for her today. Very fun, she has been chomping at the bit to go to 'school'. She is the fastest artist in the west and finished all of her projects (I think 10) before the other kids. She did sort of a slap together job on a couple of them! She got to 'show and tell' her favorite at the end and was very happy to do that.

Jac earned a quarter for sleeping through the night last night. Yes, I am bribing my children to stay in their beds. I will let you know if it works. You will probably be able to tell by the huge smile on my face if it is working. We have to now plan a trip to the dollar store to spend all of his cash!

Back to it

I have been reinspired to blog. It has been awhile! I observed today in Jac's preschool classroom. Those teachers are saints, truly. I have a lot to learn about patience. Jac did well and gave his 'Christmas Show and Tell' about the rescue helicopter that Aunt Daphne gave him.

Mia went to the neighbors house while I was in Jac's classroom. Evidently she was quite the chatty cathy, very cute.
