Oh Why oh Why oh Why?

Why do toddlers ask Why? I don't know but responding with a detailed and creative answer will only prompt the next question, why? And if you respond with a curt, one word answer, again you will hear, why? Almost any statement you can make can be replied to by, why? And even those that don't make sense to be followed up with a "why" will be by a 2 almost 3 year old! It is a little maddening. I feel like Laurel and Hardy sometimes. It does make me laugh as we move into a new phase that is so cliched but it is new to us, because now I get it!

Jac is officially asking 'why' all of the time. Perfectly age appropriate, but also quite annoying if you just need something to be done or are in a hurry. Sometimes it is cute to see his wheels turning. Other times I think he is just asking why out of hand and not even listening to the answer.

Isn't he reminiscent of Bill Murray in Caddyshack?

A Day in the Sun

We had a day of sunshine yesterday! It was great. The kids wore their new sunglasses and were funny trying to pull each other around on the sled.

Mia Checkup

Mia had her 18 month checkup this week and is doing very well. She is in the 90% in both height and weight and her head circumference is in the 97% percentile. The Dr. said, well at least her head size is still on the chart!

Easter Eggs

We dyed Easter Eggs this week and had a lot of fun doing it. Jac concentrated very hard. I think after we were done he thought that the Egg dying was all that Easter consisted of! We had a little talk and I think we are good.

Socks on Hands

Jac has been working on his independence (knew it had to happen at some point). He wanted to dress himself yesterday. I think he was having a hard time getting his socks on, so he just put them on his hands.

Trip to Europe

For all of you that have been missing the blog, we're back! Jeff and I went to Ireland and England so March has absolutely flown by. Here are a couple of pictures, the first one is in front of the Blarney Castle where we both kissed the Blarney Stone. The second one is in front of Buckingham Palace.

We loved Ireland and had a fantastic time driving around the countryside. Here are the top ten takeaways (oops eleven) from our trip.

1. Irish people are super nice.
2. England has pretty much taken every treasure in the world and put it in a museum.
3. The Irish pretty much only eat in pubs!
4. We now get the Ireland and American bond because of the Potato Famine and all of the necessary immigration.
5. Europe is much more Green the US.
6. We are fat compared to the English and Irish!
7. When you go into a pub, order first, then sit down.
8. A weather report is like an E! True Hollywood Story.
9. The Irish speed limit, truly is a limit of exactly how fast you can go without killing yourself.
10. The English are really tall, especially in comparison to the Irish. We figured it was because they stole all of the meat.
11. For some reason they serve their food at about a 1000 degrees.
